Saying farewell is often a bittersweet experience. Sometimes, it’s a poignant reminder of the memories we’ve shared, and other times, it’s a welcome release, a chance to let go and embrace new beginnings. My journey at Agroshift has been a rollercoaster of emotions, and today, I want to pay tribute to someone who has made my 9-5 job not just bearable but genuinely enjoyable. That someone is none other than Maliha Ulfat.

My connection with Maliha goes back to a time before I joined Agroshift, all the way to 2017 when she worked for 10MS, and I was running the KUET Career Club. Little did I know that a simple phone conversation about an event with 10MS would lead to us becoming colleagues at Agroshift. It’s a testament to the saying that we live in a small world.
During her time at Agroshift, Maliha took on multiple roles and responsibilities with unmatched dedication. The quality of work she delivered to this company was nothing short of exceptional. It often felt like the work of several people combined into one. That’s just how Maliha worked – efficiently and without seeking the limelight. She was a one-stop solution for every problem and task. If I ever asked Maliha for something with a tight deadline, she would deliver it within 30 minutes. With Maliha around, everything felt effortless, and I will undoubtedly miss her presence.
But who was Maliha as a person? In my short career span, I’ve never encountered someone as dynamic and joyous as her. I doubt I’ll ever meet anyone quite like her again. The rants and jokes we shared, along with Nafis, Rafi, Rafsan, and Tangida apu, are memories that I’ll hold close to my heart for the rest of my life. The “Addas” we had at Shahadat’s place were nothing short of legendary. When Maliha was absent from the office, there was a palpable void – we missed her random “Maliha Jokes.” Now, we’ll miss those rants and jokes permanently.
Beyond the humor, Maliha is a wonderful person to work with. I am genuinely thrilled that she’s moving on to a better place, even though it means bidding her farewell. I have no doubt that she will continue to shine brightly in her life’s journey. In a world where some things must break for better ones to come along, Maliha’s departure marks the beginning of something beautiful.
Maliha, you’re not just my colleague; you’re my sister and friend. You’ve left an indelible mark on our hearts, and I have no doubt that your future will be as brilliant as the light you brought to Agroshift.
Keep on shining!
